history: | raised in Zim; played 4 sports at Cherry High School; after military I went back to work at Eveleth Taconite; while there, I used the G.I. bill and received a 4 yr degree from Bemidji State; after retiring from the mines in 1997, I taught Maintenance Millwright at Eveleth Vocational school. I have over thirty years as a town supervisor for Mcdavitt Township in Zim; member of the State Board of Town Supervisors and a member of the National Board of Towns and Townships where I am past President. I am the only remaining original member of the Minnesota Bd of Fire Training and Education; also serve on other state fire Boards; I am a Mason and a Shriner; in those positions I am the Range Shrine Circus Director and have the privlege of entertaining crowds as a member of the Range Shrine Motor Patrol; driving little cars in parades across the Iron Range; |
