The many battles engaged in are listed above. Also, of note, is the outstanding performance participated in by the ship in an effort to aid the carrier USS Princeton which blew up as a result of a bomb hit in the Second Battle of the Phillippine Sea October 24, 1944 in the Battle of Samar.
